Job summary

Uber is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer, Enterprise Security to architect and scale security capabilities across our corporate endpoints, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You will drive the evolution of security platforms, enforce defense-in-depth, and lead cross-organizational initiatives to improve threat prevention and cyber resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in security engineering or related areas at scale.
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise security domains (endpoint, infrastructure, EDR, zero-trust, etc.).
• Strong OS security, networking, auth, and security architecture across macOS/Windows/Linux.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Go, Python, Java, or C/C++).
• Experience leading large-scale technical initiatives and influencing teams beyond immediate scope.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Enterprise Security.
• Architect and lead security solutions across endpoints, production infra, and enterprise environments.
• Advance endpoint protection, EDR, app control, system hardening, and security posture management across OS families.
• Design scalable security platforms, workflows, and enforcement mechanisms.
• Collaborate with IT, Cloud Security, and engineering teams to implement defense-in-depth and zero-trust practices.
• Set high standards for security engineering, architecture, software quality, and operational excellence.
