Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Enterprise Security in Seattle to lead the design and delivery of scalable security capabilities across corporate endpoints, production infrastructure, and cloud environments.

You will shape security-by-default strategies, drive cross-team initiatives, and advance threat prevention and detection in a rapidly evolving landscape. The role emphasizes defense-in-depth, zero-trust implementation, and building automated security platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years of professional security engineering experience at scale.
• Deep expertise in enterprise security domains (endpoint security, infrastructure security, EDR, zero-trust, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction, design, and delivery of key Enterprise Security capabilities across endpoints, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Design, build, and lead security solutions with defense-in-depth and zero-trust principles.
• Lead improvements in endpoint protection, EDR, application control, system hardening, and security posture management.
