Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer for Enterprise Security to lead architecture, scalability, and automation of security capabilities across corporate endpoints, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

You will drive defense-in-depth, zero-trust principles, and cross-team initiatives to strengthen cyber resilience and reduce attack surfaces while shaping security standards and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity.
• 10+ years of professional security/engineering experience.
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise security domains (endpoint, infrastructure, zero-trust).
• Strong OS, network, auth, and security architecture knowledge across macOS/Windows/Linux.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, or C/C++ with production-grade software experience.
• Experience leading large-scale technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Enterprise Security.
• Architect and lead security solutions across endpoints, production infra, and enterprise environments.
• Advance endpoint protection, EDR, app control, system hardening, and security posture management.
• Design and scale security platforms, services, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, IT, Cloud Security and other teams to drive security-by-default architecture.
• Maintain high standards for security engineering and architectural design.
• Influence engineering decisions and raise the bar across the organization.
