Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of current RN clinical experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in area of specialty.
• Georgia RN license required at hire; Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire; ACLS and/or PALS typically required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess health status and develop the plan of care.
• Documents patient data, actions, interventions, and responses according to policy.
• Provides nursing care to promote or restore health and prevent illness.
• Assists with procedures and monitors patient responses during and after procedures.
• Leads nursing response to medical emergencies and coordinates with the health care team.
• Performs IV therapy, medication administration, and other nursing tasks as prescribed.
• Educates patients and families and conducts follow-up outreach as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and staff training.
