Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks an experienced Staff Registered Nurse (RN) III in Georgia. The role follows the state Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies to provide care for patients and families, collaborating with the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality service.

Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, documentation, emergency response, patient education, and coordination of care across sites. Requires GA RN license and BLS; travel to two sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of current RN clinical experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in area of specialty.
• Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess patient health status, determine nursing diagnosis, establish nursing goals, and develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care.
• Completes POE and addresses care gaps during the patient encounter.
• Documents patient data, actions, interventions, and response to treatment per policy.
• Assists with procedures and monitors patient response during and after procedures.
• Engages patients, families, and caregivers in coordination of patient care as part of the healthcare team.
• Leads nursing response to medical emergencies and coordinates care.
• Monitors InBasket messages and triages to physician or other staff as needed.
• Initiates and monitors IV therapy and medication administration as prescribed.
