Job summary

Arc XP seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for the design and implementation of the next-generation rendering platform. This is an architectural and implementation leadership role for an engineer who can influence across edge rendering, composition, and platform APIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, building, and operating highly scalable software systems.
• Experience leading architectural initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of modern web rendering, distributed systems, APIs, caching, and cloud-native design.
• Proven ability translating strategy into executable engineering plans.
• BA/BS in CS, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of Arc XP's rendering and Experience Composition capabilities.
• Design edge-rendering and edge-composition architectures and shift to event-driven render-on-update models.
• Develop scalable platform, rendering, and compilation APIs and evolve component architectures.
• Define migration and interoperability strategies for the next-generation platform while maintaining continuity.
• Provide senior technical leadership across Rendering, Delivery, Themes, and PageBuilder Editor.
• Design, develop, and operate highly scalable services using TypeScript, Node.js, React, Go, AWS, and edge tech.
• Mentor engineers through architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Apply AI-assisted tooling with strong engineering judgment for prototyping and production.
