Job summary
Arc XP, a division of The Washington Post, seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for the design and implementation of its next-generation rendering platform. You will partner with architects, product managers, and senior engineers to translate strategy into scalable production systems.
You will design edge-rendering and edge-composition architectures, lead migration toward event-driven render-on-update models, and shape APIs for AI-assisted content
Qualifications
- 8+ years designing, building, and operating scalable software systems.
- Strong technical leadership and architectural design experience.
- Deep knowledge of modern web rendering, distributed and event-driven systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of Arc XP's rendering and Experience Composition capabilities.
- Design edge-rendering architectures and edge-composition models.
- Provide senior technical leadership across Rendering, Delivery, Themes, and PageBuilder Editor.
- Mentor engineers through architecture discussions and reviews.
