Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Staff Architect / Senior Staff Architect to join our Technology Team. You will partner with global architects, engineers, and product leaders to design, architect, build, and test impactful AI-powered products.

The role emphasizes scale, security, and long-term sustainability across multi-domain architectures. You will shape patterns for AI adoption, establish enterprise standards, and influence platform-level decisions while guiding engineering teams to successful

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and/or architecture experience.
• Senior Staff Architect candidates should bring 12+ years of experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of software architecture principles and practices across multiple domains.
• Expert knowledge of modern cloud-based technologies and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and scalability practices.
• Fluency applying AI across the architecture and engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define large-scale architectural decisions across domains with tradeoff considerations for quality and scalability.
• Lead complex architectural discussions and align with product direction.
• Solve architectural problems and define design patterns.
• Define AI usage patterns across lifecycle and surface system insights.
• Create guides for architectural standards and promote knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with engineering/product leaders to align with roadmaps.
• Set priorities for standards and ways of working across teams.
• For Senior Staff: shape enterprise architecture strategy and standards.
