Job summary

Render is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Product Engineers to lead the core developer experience. You will partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into scalable, high-quality systems that developers rely on daily.

You’ll guide technical direction, develop engineers, build the team, and ship meaningful improvements quickly while upholding high platform standards. You should bring a strong engineering background, ownership mindset, and passion for building

Qualifications

• 8+ years as an engineer delivering customer-facing features.
• 4+ years of people management including hiring and mentorship.
• Strong system design and engineering tradeoff experience.
• Product-focused with ability to translate goals into roadmaps.
• Proven collaboration with product, marketing, and support teams.
• Ability to balance urgency with quality and clear ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product engineers with mentorship and guidance.
• Hire and scale the team into multiple squads.
• Drive product initiatives from ideation through launch with high quality.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Guide system design decisions and navigate architectural tradeoffs.
• Foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Break down complex problems into incremental milestones delivering value.
• Ensure developer experience and customer impact are understood.
• Collaborate with product, customers, and internal teams to deliver features.
