Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking candidates to become a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to support mining, geotechnical, and civil infrastructure projects in our Phoenix offices. The qualified candidate shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience with a strong background in geotechnical investigation practice. The position requires effective verbal skills to communicate with internal teams and clients. Written communication skills in the form of technical reports are a must. Additional experience preferred includes: task management, geotechnical analytical skills, geologic modeling, and experience in geotechnical laboratory testing.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering
2+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology preferred.
3+ years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering projects.
Arizona PE license or ability to obtain Arizona PE license within 6 months
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Experience using geotechnical software.
Solid understanding of field work
The ability to work well within a team

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $63,000.00 - $90,000.00.
