Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to support our team. You will assist with field observations, laboratory testing, data documentation, basic engineering calculations, and report drafting. This hands-on role aims to develop your foundational skills in geotechnical engineering while supporting field crews with testing and data collection.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with soil sampling and testing, support soil classification during drilling, document field conditions for borehole logging, and conduct soil sampling using hand tools.
2. Perform field observations of site clearing, drainage, grading, and filling operations under supervision.
3. Conduct geotechnical inspections and monitor construction activities such as footings, drilled piers, and structural fills, reporting findings to senior engineers.
4. Perform geotechnical design tasks, including soil and rock slope stability analysis.
5. Review and organize laboratory and boring test results, plot soil and rock profiles, and prepare data summaries.
6. Draft geotechnical reports with preliminary recommendations, subject to review and approval.
7. Assist in preparing proposals and bids for projects.
8. Develop boring programs, geological assessments, and plan special field tests.
9. Supervise technical work of field technicians.
