Job summary

BD is seeking a Sr. Staff R&D Engineer to lead cross-functional development for Medication Delivery Solutions, Injection Systems. The role drives concept to commercialization, focusing on elastomeric components, testing, and design control.

Ideal candidates will have extensive R&D leadership experience in a regulated medical device setting, strong project management, and a track record of delivering innovative, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive product development experience for BS, 10+ for MS, or 7+ for PhD in a regulated industry.
• Strong technical judgment and extensive technical leadership; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project leadership for complex development initiatives across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and external partners.
• Coordinate activities to ensure execution from concept through commercialization.
• Lead DOE, design verification and design validation activities and risk assessments.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
• Ensure compliance with BD quality policies and drive technical decision-making.
