Job summary
BD is seeking an Sr. Staff R&D Engineer to lead cross-functional product development in the Injection Systems team within Medication Delivery Solutions.
You will guide complex projects from concept to commercialization, applying advanced engineering and strategic thinking across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and manufacturing partners. You will develop, test, and optimize elastomeric components and drug delivery systems, mentor engineers, and drive design control compliance to ensure robust,
Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- B.S.: 12+ years of progressive product development experience in a regulated industry.
- M.S.: 10+ years of progressive product development experience in a regulated industry.
- Ph.D.: 7+ years of progressive product development experience in a regulated industry.
- Strong technical judgment and extensive technical leadership skills.
- Solid modeling knowledge (SolidWorks or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Provides technical and project leadership for complex product development and lifecycle management initiatives.
- Leads cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and external partners.
- Develops advanced technological concepts and guides their maturation into successful commercial products.
- Designs, develops and utilizes in vivo and in vitro models to evaluate product performance.
