Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Technical Leader to design and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will drive architectural direction, mentoring, and production MVPs while collaborating with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Operations teams.

This role emphasizes scalable identity, access control, and enterprise-grade software to support the next generation of AI systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering or 8+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 10+ years designing distributed systems or security platforms in production.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise identity/auth protocols (OAuth 2.0/OIDC/SAML/SCIM/LDAP/SPIFFE/mTLS).
• 4+ years containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 3+ years security engineering: threat modeling, attack-path analysis, reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core identity capabilities for AI agents.
• Deliver developer tooling, APIs, SDKs, and MCP-based access patterns.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Operations.
• Lead technical excellence with design reviews and engineering standards.
• Deliver production MVPs and validate with internal/external partners.
