Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Technical Leader to define and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid architectures. You will translate complex identity challenges into scalable, enterprise‑grade software and drive production deployments from concept to MVPs.

In this role you will set architectural direction, conduct design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Operations to ensure solutions meet customer

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience; or a Master’s with 8+ years in related field.
• 10+ years designing distributed systems, backend services, or security platforms in production.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise identity, authentication, or access protocols (OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, SPIFFE, or mTLS).
• 4+ years containerization (Docker, containerd, or Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 3+ years security engineering principles, including threat modeling and security architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable identity and access management frameworks for AI agents.
• Deliver reusable APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and integration patterns for broader adoption.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Operations.
• Lead architectural direction, design reviews, and engineering standards for non-human identity.
• Deliver production MVPs and iterate scalable services with internal/external partners.
