Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles. You will own vehicle-level integrations and the full lifecycle of PCB design from concept through production, including system interconnect diagrams and harness definitions.

Responsibilities include collaborating with air vehicle subsystems, vendor evaluations, design reviews, and engine-component testing in lab, ground, and flight environments.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
• Strong background in circuit design, including components, and mixed-signals design.
• Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration.
• Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain.
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
• Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable)
• Experience in EMI testing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for our autonomous vehicles.
• Vehicle-level integrations and complete lifecycle design from concept through production.
• Full cycle PCB design including establishing or collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
• Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
• Vendor surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for system components.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests
• Root cause analysis in support of field operations
