SiriusXM is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and scale backend data products and reporting systems. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, APIs, and collaborate with AdsWizz and SXM Media to automate data onboarding and insights.

You will lead architecture discussions, partner with product teams, and drive reliable deployments across cloud platforms, while maintaining focus on scalable, high-performance solutions for a large audience.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java.
• 7+ years building and managing data pipelines with Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, and GCP.
• 7+ years crafting REST-based microservices on diverse cloud platforms (ideally AWS).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses & analytics platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Data pipeline frameworks experience (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Soda).
• Messaging systems and stream processing (Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub).
• Strong understanding of software processes, lifecycle management, and testing.
• Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end.
• Nice to have Redis/Memcached caching experience.
• Nice to have API design and data contracts.
• Nice to have AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis).
• NoSQL knowledge (Druid, DynamoDB).
• Nice to have AI coding assistants/tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math; legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Design and build high-performance, reliable, scalable reporting APIs and data pipelines.
• Lead architecture discussions with ad measurement and revenue data.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams in a collaborative development process.
• Clarify project scope with Product team and provide clear direction.
• Ensure flawless production deployments with Cloud Infra teams.
