SiriusXM is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to join a high-performance team building backend services, data products, and reporting systems at scale. You will design and implement data pipelines and APIs that support AdsWizz and SXM Media, collaborating across multiple engineering teams and product stakeholders.

The role requires 12+ years in software engineering with Python/Java, strong data engineering experience on Spark/BigQuery, and expertise in cloud data warehouses. A U.S.

Competenze

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java.
• 7+ years designing, building, and managing data pipelines using Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, and GCP.
• 7+ years of experience crafting REST API based-microservices and scalable products, utilizing diverse cloud platforms (ideally AWS).
• Cloud data warehouse & analytics platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Data pipeline expectations framework (Monte Carlo data, Great Expectations, Soda).
• Working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Messaging platforms and stream data processing (Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub).
• Collaborations tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of engineering software processes and lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently and oversee projects with timely delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Nice to have Redis caching expertise.
• Nice to have Public APIs and data contracts design.
• Nice to have OAuth2 security basics.
• Nice to have AWS S3, CloudTrail, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, ElasticCache, Athena, Kinesis, EKS, Cognito.
• Nice to have NoSQL knowledge (Druid, DynamoDB, SingleStore).
• Nice to have AI coding assistants and tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics (already listed).
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
