SiriusXM is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data products and reporting systems at scale. You will own backend services and data pipelines, collaborate with AdsWizz and SXM Media teams, and drive architecture across cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.

The role emphasizes end-to-end data onboarding, real-time and batch processing, and strong ownership of projects from conception to deployment within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Competenze

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java
• ~7+ years designing, building, and managing data pipelines with Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, and GCP
• ~7+ years crafting REST API based microservices on cloud platforms (AWS)
• ~ Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery)
• ~ Data pipeline frameworks (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Soda)
• ~ Messaging platforms and stream processing (Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub)
• ~ Strong engineering processes, lifecycle, release management, testing
• ~ Independent work and project leadership
• ~ Nice-to-have Redis/Memcached caching expertise
• ~ NoSQL knowledge (Druid, DynamoDB, SingleStore)
• ~ Experience with AI coding assistants/tools
• ~ Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Mansioni

• Design and build high-performance, reliable, scalable reporting APIs and data pipelines
• Lead high-level architecture discussions with ad measurement, revenue and addressability data
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams in a distributed development process
• Provide clear feedback to the Product team to clarify requirements and scope
• Demonstrate ownership and guide projects to timely completion
• Coordinate with Global Operations and Cloud Infrastructure for deployments and incident support
