SiriusXM is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and own backend data products and scalable reporting systems. You will shape data pipelines across ad measurement, revenue and addressability domains, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope and deliver value.

You will lead architecture discussions, drive reliability, and coordinate with Global Operations and Cloud Infrastructure to ensure smooth deployments and incident response.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java.
• 7+ years designing, building, and managing data pipelines with Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR and GCP Cloud Analytics.
• 7+ years crafting REST API based microservices on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Experience with data quality tooling (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Soda).
• Experience with messaging systems and streaming (Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub).
• Strong ownership, ability to lead projects, and cross-team collaboration.
• Nice to have familiarity with Redis, Memcached, NoSQL stores, and public APIs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics or a similar field.
