Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive the technical strategy and architecture for cross‑border and digital asset payment capabilities. You will oversee architecture across multiple teams, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant global payment solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and modern SDLC/DevOps practices, with experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• 9+ years in distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, microservices
• Hands‑on Docker experience
• Proven design and evolution of complex payment or cross‑border platforms in regulated environments
• Deep technical understanding of digital asset or stablecoin‑based systems
• 2+ years front‑end development (Angular/React)
• 8+ years Java/Spring with Maven/Gradle
• Experience delivering business‑critical systems
• Ability to influence across departments
• Experience designing scalable systems
• Experience with event‑driven architecture and messaging frameworks
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• SDLC/Agile/DevOps proficiency
• Background and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Shape engineering approaches with product and architecture teams.
• Own technical strategy for broad or complex requirements.
• Own architectural design for cross-border money movement and digital asset systems.
• Resolve scalability challenges across distributed payment platforms.
• Mentor engineers and ensure secure, resilient global payment solutions.
• Set department‑wide design patterns and code approaches.
• Review code output from multiple teams for effectiveness.
• Resolve technical conflicts across teams.
• Lead architecture, design, prototyping and implementation aligned with product needs.
• Present sound arguments in cross‑functional settings to influence decisions.
• Lead a broad functional area with team planning guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to conceptualize and build features.
• Own features or systems long‑term health and improve surrounding systems.
• Assist support and operations in production issue resolution.
• Develop tests to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and potentially lead cross‑functional projects.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Support risk management and data security commitments.
