Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a hands-on technical leader to set standards for excellence across multiple teams. You will own architectural design for cross-border money movement and digital asset settlement, mentor engineers, and partner with product to shape roadmaps in a regulated payment environment.

You will guide complex, end-to-end systems, drive security and reliability, and articulate a departmental vision while collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• This role requires 15+ years of software design and development experience, with 8+ years in FinTech.
• Experience leading the design and evolution of large-scale, cross-border payment platforms in regulated environments.
• Deep technical understanding of digital asset or stablecoin-based systems, including security and reliability.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum/LEAN, and DevOps practices.
• Proven track record designing end-to-end systems (full stack).
• Hands-on design experience with Java RESTful services, microservices, Spring, Kafka, Oracle, and JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural design and patterns for cross-border money movement and digital asset settlement systems.
• Resolve complex scalability challenges across distributed, regulated payment platforms.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams in secure, resilient, and compliant solutions.
• Partner with product management to craft strategy and align roadmaps.
• Be a thought leader and coach; present technical topics to groups.
• Create technical product designs and architecture.
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs and improve Early Warning products.
• Work with engineering, product, and architecture to shape approaches and share knowledge.
• Develop and articulate a departmental technical vision for the future.
• Foster cross-functional relationships to drive strategic change and risk management.
