Job summary

Commerce seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture and evolution of large-scale distributed systems powering our commerce platform. You will guide cross-domain decisions, mentor engineers, and drive AI integrations including GenAI into current and future products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
Experience architecting and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
Proven leadership in technical direction and architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and microservices.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and evolution of scalable distributed systems.
Drive architectural discussions across multiple domains and teams.
Integrate AI technologies, including GenAI, into products.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
