Job summary

Commerce seeks an AI Lead Software Engineer to design and implement AI-based product solutions, guiding multi-team efforts from high-level designs to low-level implementations. You'll mentor teams, evangelize AI technologies, and drive measurable outcomes across our AI initiatives.

You will partner with Product & Engineering leadership to shape the AI strategy, assess technology options, and deliver scalable, secure systems for large-scale commerce use cases.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and shipping AI systems in production.
• Strong server-side engineering in Python/Go/Java or similar.
• Experience building product solutions with LLMs and GenAI.

Responsibilities

• Interface with stakeholders to provide context and technical guidance.
• Lead high-level and low-level design efforts for AI initiatives.
• Serve as lead engineer for major AI programs across teams.
• Deliver quick-turnaround solutions balancing speed, scalability and reliability.
