Job summary

Commerce, the parent company of BigCommerce, seeks an AI Lead Software Engineer to shape and execute our AI vision in a hybrid Austin/remote setting. You will lead major AI initiatives, collaborate with product and engineering leaders, and deliver scalable AI solutions across the business.

Responsibilities include designing high and low level architectures for AI products, mentoring engineers, and driving measurable outcomes through fast iteration and robust systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding in server-side languages (Python/Go/Java etc.)
• Experience architecting AI/ML systems in production
• Experience building products with LLMs and GenAI
• Familiarity with e-commerce taxonomies, schemas, and data pipelines
