Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Sr. Staff Application Engineer for the HiRel product group. The role focuses on supporting existing analog products and new developments for the space market, including op-amps, references, ADCs, and BMS.

You will characterize devices, document findings, and collaborate with customers to translate needs into product features. The position involves multi-disciplinary NPD work, engagement with customers and field teams, and occasional on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required.
• 7–10+ years in applications or systems engineering for analog IC development or circuit design.
• Strong analog and mixed-signal design and bench testing skills.
• Proficient with lab equipment and schematic/layout tools (Altium).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• You will be part of an engineering team responsible for device characterization, datasheet and application note documentation, and customer support.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary New Product Development team to define, evaluate, characterize, and document new product developments for the marketplace.
• Engage with potential customers to refine application needs into product features for future definitions.
• Support customers as they implement products into their hardware systems via email, calls, or on-site visits.
• Present at global industry conventions as a presenter.
