Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Software Security Engineer to lead security engineering across Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, Cryptography, IAM, AI Security, and the Detection & Response platform.

You will define cross-domain strategy, drive major initiatives from concept to production, and mentor engineers while staying close to production to ensure practical security decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven technical leadership at large organizations.
• Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and/or Cryptography with breadth across security domains.
• Hands-on software/security engineering background with production systems.
• Ability to identify unstructured technical problems and craft actionable roadmaps.
• Excellent communication, humility and mentoring ability.
• Experience securing AI infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define cross-domain technical strategy and architectural direction across Security Engineering.
• Build AI security foundations for emergent AI technologies and production AI applications.
• Drive high-leverage technical initiatives across infrastructure, cloud, identity, and detection systems.
• Build and ship production systems for hard problems with end-to-end ownership.
• Partner with engineering managers to align quarterly roadmaps across teams.
• Elevate the technical bar through mentorship and architectural guidance.
• Maintain proximity to production environments to ground security decisions in reality.
