Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Security Engineer to join a growing team responsible for securing all company assets, code, and cloud infrastructure. You will partner with product and engineering to embed security from the start and drive secure-by-design practices.

You will support vulnerability management, threat modeling, and secure coding across a complex application and cloud environment, applying automation where possible and mentoring others on security best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience designing, building, or securing complex applications and cloud systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent training, or professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with security reviews, SDLC practices, secure CI/CD, architecture reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability management, bug bounty and responsible disclosure programs.
• Experienced and comfortable programming in at least one language, and able to read and reason about code in Python, Typescript, Go, or Rust.
• Familiarity with distributed cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and secure configurations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mature security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to influence design from the start.
• Build processes, tooling, and culture to make security a natural part of shipping and operating.
• Validate and reproduce security findings across applications and cloud infrastructure.
