Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Staff Product Security Architect to join our Security Platforms and Architecture team. This hands-on role drives security strategy, embeds guidance into developer workflows, and reduces risk across critical systems.

You will partner with engineering leadership, lead security architecture for strategic initiatives, and mentor engineers while shaping patterns, guardrails, and threat models for scalable security across the product.

Qualifications

• Depth in application security architecture including authentication and authorization models.
• Experience securing distributed systems and service-to-service auth.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, build/release integrity, provenance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and product leadership to anticipate security problems.
• Lead security architecture for strategic initiatives and provide direction to cross-functional teams.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize systemic security risks; act as Security Owner for key items.
• Codify recurring security decisions into reusable guardrails, standards, and patterns.
• Build proofs of concept and prototypes to unblock engineering teams.
• Conduct security architecture reviews for large projects and coordinate with Application Security.
• Threat model new and existing systems and establish scalable patterns.
• Collaborate with Security Research on proactive risk exploration.
• Mentor security engineers and represent security architecture to engineering audiences.
