Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff DevSecOps Engineer (TS/SCI) to join our Vulnerability Management team, embedded with engineering and operations to strengthen security posture across infrastructure, cloud, and business systems.

This role centers on building centralized security analytics and automated remediation workflows, with opportunities to leverage AI for prioritization and faster risk reduction. You will drive impactful improvements in security tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Security Engineering or DevSecOps in a large org.
• Strong coding/scripting for automation (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience ETL/ELT pipelines for security data.
• Build scalable data pipelines for vulnerability data.
• Automation of security controls and cloud-first workflows.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD for security.
• Proactive risk identification and remediation planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for automation of vulnerability scanning and reporting.
• Collaborate with SRE to manage update pipelines and baselines.
• Develop automation to scale security posture scanning and remediation.
• Lead design and integration of in-house security systems.
• Build automation and cloud infra using IaC to support AI workflows.
• Develop API/cloud integrations to improve detection and response.
• Write scripts and automations (Python-based) for security ops.
• Establish monitoring/alerting for posture, misconfigurations, threats.
• Identify and remediate security gaps; stay current on threats.
