Job summary

Canopy Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Staff Accountant in Riverside, CA to manage GL, AP, AR, and related administrative tasks. The role supports month-end closings, reconciliations, and audit documentation, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (AP/AR/GL exposure).
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger accounting: post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with closings.
• Accounts Payable: verify invoices, process payments, manage vendor records.
• Accounts Receivable: issue invoices, apply payments, perform collections outreach.
• Administrative & Office Support: filing, data entry, reports, audit prep.
• Support internal controls and process improvements.
