Job summary

Canopy A&D in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage GL, AP, AR, and administrative support. The role includes month-end and year-end closings, internal controls, and process improvements in a manufacturing/aerospace setting.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP. On-site, full-time position with comprehensive benefits and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (AP/AR/GL exposure).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for recurring, adjusting, and accrual entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Support preparation of internal financial statements and audit-ready schedules.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.
