Job summary

Canopy A&D is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and administrative support within the Finance & Accounting department. The role supports month-end and year-end closings, internal controls, and process improvements, requiring strong organization and GAAP knowledge.

The position offers a base salary in the $75,000–$85,000 range, on-site Riverside location, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (AP/AR/GL exposure).
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for recurring, adjusting, and accrual entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with closings.
• Process vendor invoices and payments; manage AP processes.
• Generate customer invoices and apply payments; manage AR aging.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist audit documentation.
• Support internal controls and process improvements.
