Job summary

Leeds Professional Resources is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closes. You will manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP.

The role requires 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable accounting requirements.
• Support external and internal audit requests.
