Job summary

Leeds Professional Resources seeks a Senior Accountant to start on-site for training and transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days in, 2 days out) in Tampa. The role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by recording all transactions, ensuring proper categorization, and performing regular reconciliations to support financial transparency and accuracy.

The position will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, prepare journal entries and reconciliations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience as a Corporate Accountant.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and corporate reporting.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances.
• Maintain balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany, and other accounts.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to accounting policies.

We are looking for someone to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by recording all financial transactions in a timely manner, ensuring proper categorization, reconciling accounts regularly, and verifying that all entries comply with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies to support financial transparency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and corporate financial reporting.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances and unusual transactions.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, and other corporate accounts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience as a Corporate Accountant
