Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to analyze financial information and prepare accurate reports to inform business decisions. You will collaborate with industry experts and cross-functional teams, driving analytics-driven insights and high-quality financial outputs.

Responsibilities include journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and preparation of monthly/quarterly packages. CPA preferred; 3+ years experience expected.

• 3+ years related experience preferred.

• Strong communication skills required.
• Strong analytics and trend analysis experience and knowledge.

• Compile and analyze financial information to transact journal entries to the general ledger.
• Review and reconcile financial information for balance sheet accounts in detail.
• Identify and resolve reconciling differences for various accounts.
• Oversee bank account reconciliation process.
• Prepare month-end closing schedules and entries and assist with external audits.
• Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Perform progress pay estimate billings for assigned companies.
• Provide overload support and special project investigation as directed by management.

What You Will Be Doing

• Compile and analyze financial information in order to transact journal entries to the general ledger.
• Review and reconcile financial information in detail for balance sheet accounts.
• Identify and resolve reconciling differences for various accounts.
• Provide oversight of bank account reconciliation process.
• Responsible for preparation, coordination, and input of assigned month-end closing schedules and entries.
• Prepare and distributes of monthly & quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Assist with interim and annual external audits.
• Perform progress pay estimate billings for all companies as assigned.
• Provide periodic overload assistance and special project investigation as directed by the Accounting Manager, Tax Manager or Assistant Corporate Controller.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Strong analytics and trend analysis experience and knowledge.
