Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to design and implement highly available systems, automate deployments, and coordinate across IT, software, and engineering teams. You will drive improvements, monitor performance, and ensure resilient scale to a global enterprise.

The role requires hands-on scripting and automation, experience with VMware, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms, plus strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an SRE related role
• 5+ years in an IT Systems related role
• Experience administering IT infrastructure including VMware, AD, Windows/Linux, networking, cloud
• Scripting, coding, automation with Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, REST, YAML, JSON

Responsibilities

• Collect requirements and establish SLOs across cross-functional teams
• Design high-availability on-premise, hybrid systems
• Coordinate IT, Software, Industrial Controls, Engineering, and Business teams
• Automate deployment and management to reduce manual effort
• Develop integrations for data visibility across components
• Support incidents with on-call rotation and fast triage
• Lead post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence
