Job summary

Redwood Materials Inc. is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to design and implement highly available systems across on-premise and hybrid environments.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives with IT, software, and engineering teams to ensure resilient scalability for a fast-growing global enterprise. The role emphasizes automation, incident response, and proactive improvements, including establishing SLOs and robust monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 2+ years in SRE or IT systems roles.
• Experience with VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, networking, and cloud infra (AWS/Azure).
• Experience scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, REST, YAML/JSON).
• Familiarity with SCADA/OT or industrial software is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to design highly available, scalable systems and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Collect business and technical requirements and establish SLOs.
• Design on-premise, hybrid systems with high availability and scalability (vSphere, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows).
• Coordinate work across IT, Software, Industrial Controls, Engineering, Business teams.
• Automate deployment and management of IT infrastructure to reduce manual efforts.
• Develop integrations to improve data visibility and system utility.
• Support incidents, lead triage, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive improvements.
