Job summary
Teleport, the AI Infrastructure Identity Company, is seeking an experienced SRE/Software Engineer to join a remote-first, globally distributed team. You will re-engineer the core Teleport product for global scale, rewrite parts to support cloud features, and strengthen observability while reducing toil.
You will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and help secure 24/7 reliability. Expect collaboration with security-focused teams, strong Go and Kubernetes usage, and cloud experience (AWS
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Software Engineering and/or SRE/DevOps roles.
- Strong Linux, networking, containers, and troubleshooting.
- Go and Kubernetes development experience.
- Scripting/automation and tooling development.
- AWS cloud experience preferred, GCP acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Re-engineer the core Teleport product to scale globally and optimize routing latency for distributed teams.
- Rewrite portions of the core Teleport product to enable cloud product goals.
- Build out the observability stack to alert on production issues and reduce false positives.
- Automate to tackle and reduce toil in operations.
- Handle traditional operations: patching, scaling, backup/restore, disaster recovery.
- Investigate outages and incidents our customers experience.
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7/365 uptime.
