Job summary

Tech Mirrors in New York City is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (Observability) to design and scale our observability framework across logs, metrics, traces, and synthetic monitoring. You will build dashboards, set SLO/SLI targets, and lead incident responses for a high-traffic retail platform.

Hybrid onsite required with strong cloud and automation skills. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in SRE/observability, hands-on Splunk, and experience with at least one of LogicMonitor,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or observability roles.
• Hands-on with Splunk dashboards and log pipelines.
• Experience with at least one of LogicMonitor, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
• Retail/eCommerce platform exposure preferred.
• Cloud expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Incident management and postmortem experience.
• Scripting in Python or Shell for automation.
• Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain observability pipelines across logs, metrics, traces, and synthetic monitoring.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLI frameworks using monitoring tools.
• Define monitoring coverage for retail-critical systems (order management, checkout, inventory, POS).
• Lead incident response and RCA using observability data to reduce MTTR.
• Establish proactive alerting strategies to reduce noise while preserving signal.
• Support real-time monitoring during peak events like promotions and holidays.
• Automate observability configuration and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document runbooks, escalation paths, and post-incident reviews.
