Job summary

Ripple is hiring an engineering-focused Senior Observability Engineer to build and coach around reliability. You will own hands-on observability in Azure/AWS, design monitoring, and mentor product teams to raise operational maturity.

Key work includes defining SLOs/SLIs, reducing alert noise, and implementing Terraform for monitoring infrastructure. You’ll collaborate across Windows-based environments to support critical payments volume and establish incident management foundations.

Qualifications

7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering with reliability focus.
Hands-on engineering plus coaching capabilities.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards in New Relic across Azure and AWS.
Define and implement SLOs/SLIs and error budgets; coach teams.
Lead alert noise reduction and cost optimization of observability.
Develop Terraform infrastructure for monitoring resources.
Administer Incident.IO and build incident-management foundations.
Enable cross-functional teams with observability and incident practices.
