Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. You will focus on observability, reliability, and incident management across Azure and AWS environments, primarily on Windows platforms with a strong coaching component for product teams.

You will build and govern IaC for monitoring resources, establish SLOs/SLIs, and lead incident response and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering with observability focus.
• Experience delivering hands-on engineering while coaching teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Expert-level hands-on New Relic and NRQL proficiency.
• Strong Terraform and IaC practices for monitoring resources.
• Proficiency with PowerShell in Windows-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards across Azure and AWS; write NRQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting.
• Define and implement SLOs/SLIs and error budgets; coach teams to balance velocity with reliability.
• Lead alert noise reduction and cost-efficient observability practices.
• Develop and maintain IaC for monitoring resources and governance.
• Author and troubleshoot Azure DevOps pipelines; support deployment visibility and release hygiene.
• Configure Incident.IO for alert routing and runbooks; design on-call rotations and postmortems.
