Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking an SRE/Observability Engineer to design, implement, and enhance enterprise monitoring, reliability, and automation capabilities across on‑prem and cloud environments. The role collaborates with infrastructure, network, application, security, and operations teams to improve service visibility and proactively identify risks.

You will develop dashboards, establish telemetry standards, and reduce alert noise while enabling faster incident resolution and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in SRE, observability, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Design dashboards, alerts, and service health reporting for production environments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, APIs, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise observability and monitoring across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Establish standards for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and reliability scorecards communicating availability and risk.
• Reduce alert noise through tuning, automation, and pattern reuse.
• Provide incident support and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Participate in architecture and production‑readiness reviews for telemetry and readiness.
