Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced SRE Engineer to design and optimize enterprise observability solutions, driving platform adoption, automation, and operational excellence across global teams. You will lead Dynatrace-based initiatives, build dashboards, and implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and RUM strategies to improve service reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Experience in enterprise observability, application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, or SRE.
• Strong expertise with Dynatrace or comparable observability platforms.
• Experience implementing synthetic monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), log analytics, dashboards, and alerting solutions.
• Experience developing automation and API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of DevOps, SRE, incident management, capacity planning, and operational best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and integrate enterprise observability solutions to improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Evaluate observability technologies through PoC initiatives and demonstrate effectiveness to stakeholders.
• Gather and translate requirements into scalable observability architectures and plans.
• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of Dynatrace-based observability platforms.
• Develop automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve service reliability.
• Support capacity planning and reliability engineering initiatives through data-driven insights.
• Promote observability-as-code and infrastructure automation practices.
