Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to work on the infrastructure platform and tooling that powers Akamai's products and services. You will collaborate with multiple teams to improve reliability, security, and automation across large-scale systems.

You will manage Kubernetes clusters, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and implement configuration management and PKI solutions. If you enjoy building robust, automated systems, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Expertise in Linux administration and production infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters and troubleshooting containerized environments.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and understanding software build, delivery, and artifact management workflows.
• Knowledge of secrets management, certificate management, or PKI solutions.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python or Bash with a focus on automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions for scalable systems.
• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters including lifecycle management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, software delivery workflows, and artifact management processes.
• Maintain solutions for secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and reusable tooling.
