Frontier Airlines is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Denver to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical platforms. You will drive automation, observability, and best practices across engineering, security, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes AWS, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and capacity planning, with a focus on proactive improvement and incident leadership in a hybrid, Denver-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Engineering or IT.
• 10+ years of software engineering or cloud experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture.
• Experience leading large-scale migrations and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of highly available, scalable cloud platforms using AWS.
• Define and execute reliability strategies, SLOs/SLIs, and error budgets for critical services.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes-based platforms for microservices.
• Establish enterprise standards for reliability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve service reliability.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption with CI/CD, IaC, and self-service capabilities.
• Define observability standards including monitoring, logging, tracing, and analytics.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and eliminate single points of failure through resilient architectures.
• Mentor SREs and engineers in reliability practices and automation.
