Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer within the Commercial Investment Banking Fraud Prevention team in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on building reliable, scalable systems using code and cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on operating and improving end-to-end availability and performance.

The candidate will drive SRE best practices, collaborate across engineering teams, and leverage AI capabilities for incident response, design reviews, and automation."

Qualifications

• Formal training in site reliability engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Proficient in SRE culture and principles and implementing SRE within a platform.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, telemetry, and SLO/SLI/alerting.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong programming skills in Python/Java/.Net and automation.

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in building SRE designs and consensus.
• Collaborates to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using CI/CD pipelines.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage and post-incident analysis with proper data handling.
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
• Resolves complex problems with stakeholders to meet SLO objectives and reliability goals.
• Identifies patterns indicating reliability risk and prioritizes improvements tied to SLO outcomes.
• Ensures availability, reliability, and scalability of applications and platforms.
• Proactively identifies roadblocks and explores new technologies where appropriate.
