Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III to strengthen reliability across infrastructure platforms. You will design, deploy, and optimize cloud-backed services, collaborating with software engineers to improve availability and scalability across public clouds.

You will participate in on-call rotations, implement telemetry, and contribute to documentation while driving best practices in site reliability engineering within the team.

Qualifications

• Formal training in computer science or reliability concepts with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with implementing site reliability practices within an application or platform.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java/Spring Boot or Python).

Responsibilities

• Guide and assist others in designing appropriate level designs and gaining peer consensus.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of Kafka, Kafka Connect, and distributed systems across clouds.
• Collaborate with engineers to deploy via automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with teams to design, develop, test, and deploy reliable, scalable solutions.
• Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
• Understand service level indicators and use SLIs/SLAs to prevent customer impact.
• Contribute to technical docs and APIs with robust logging and security.
