Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an SRE Software Engineer III to design and operate resilient software systems. You will build automated delivery approaches, apply site reliability principles, and resolve complex issues before they impact users.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, improving observability, and reducing production risk while leveraging AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 3+ years applied experience in software engineering or site reliability.
• Proficiency in site reliability culture and principles.
• Familiarity with observability tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality, speed, and repeatability.
• Develop, test, and deliver software to strengthen availability, reliability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve complex multi-system problems to restore service.
• Define and use service level indicators and objectives to identify risk and improve reliability.
• Enhance observability with telemetry, dashboards, and alerting to reduce time-to-detect and time-to-recover.
• Improve operational excellence through runbooks, automation, and continuous improvement actions to reduce toil.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and delivery speed, with peer review and secure coding standards.
