Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2016+).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Replication & troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in index management, query optimization, and server performance tuning.
• Experience creating/managing SQL Server schema objects including tables and indexes.
• Patching and upgrades in SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Python scripting for automation and admin tasks.
• Experience with Grafana dashboards for monitoring databases.
• AWS experience with RDS, DMS, CloudWatch, S3, etc.
• Exposure to Oracle DB administration and SQL/PLSQL.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize SQL Server performance (CPU, memory, I/O, queries).
• Configure and troubleshoot SQL Server Replication (transactional, snapshot, merge, peer-to-peer).
• Identify and resolve replication latency, conflicts, and sync errors.
• Perform index analysis and tuning for performance optimization.
• Design, implement, and manage database schema objects (tables, indexes, constraints, stored procedures).
• Perform regular patching/upgrades of SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot query performance using execution plans, SQL Profiler, and DMVs.
• Implement and manage cross-platform data replication between SQL Server and Oracle.
• Develop Python scripts to automate maintenance, reporting, or monitoring tasks.
• Configure Grafana dashboards to monitor key database metrics and replication health.
• Manage AWS-hosted databases using RDS, DMS, EC2, CloudWatch.
• Support Oracle DB environments including performance tuning, backup/recovery, patching.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Collaborate with development/DevOps/infrastructure on database requirements.
